Cookie Policy
Last updated: February 5, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how LifeAider uses cookies and local storage to operate securely and remember preferences. For broader information about personal data, see Privacy Policy.
Overview
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep you signed in, secure the service, and remember preferences. We also use local storage (a browser storage feature) for certain UI settings and convenience features.
Local storage
Local storage is a browser feature that lets websites store small amounts of data on your device. LifeAider may use local storage for:
- Theme (light / dark)
- Display preferences
- Reduce-motion setting
- Composer draft text (if enabled)
- Last used email (e.g., authEmail)
- Non-sensitive UI cache for faster loading
We avoid storing sensitive data in local storage. Authentication is typically handled using secure cookies.
How to control cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- Delete existing cookies
- Block third-party cookies
- Block all cookies (may break sign-in and core features)
If you block essential cookies, you may not be able to sign in or use key features.
You can clear local storage by clearing “site data” in your browser, or by removing saved data for the LifeAider site.
